Well, after working on it today, Tom finally got his powerwheels…powered!
Tonight Tom finished off the nearly all the welding for the front portion of his trike. The frame flexes a bit, but it looks good. Tom is going to make the June 5th deadline.
The other two vehicles are falling behind and may well not make the deadline for the bonus points. But they’ll be ready come race time!!!!
Another Tues night, another Power Wheel build session! Its starting to look like there will be three vehicles: Ben’s, Tom’s and mine. There are a number of new images in the Power Wheels gallery. Here are a couple.
Here Tom pose’s with his pink trike’s new steering system.
These are the new wheels and frame for Grave Digger!
A quick video update on what we are up to with our Grave Digger vehicle.
We continue to tinker with our Power Wheels! A plan is emerging for the pink tri-cycle.
Check the video to see our four vehicles and watch us poke and prod them as we get a sense of what we might do with them!
Be sure to check our Power Wheels gallery for some still photos.
We have power wheels cars to start working on!
Milwaukee Makespace will participate in the Power Racing Series at Maker Faire Detroit. At the meeting tonight we discussed the Power Racing Series. Of all the ideas we’ve dicussed for our next group project, this idea seemed to generate the most dicussion.
So, we’re in!!
I’ve attached the rules as a PDF and the website is here: http://www.powerracingseries.org/

The basic idea is to modify and race a Power Wheels children’s electric vehicle. Watching adults race around on tiny vehicles should be a riot. Modifing our Power Wheel vehicles should be even more fun!
